The Sesame plant's remarkable resilience and its ability to grow in drought like conditions bestows a similar energy to those who consume it. According to Ayurvedic thought, eating Sesame seeds imparts strength, nourishment and even will power to the consumer. 🌾 Sesame seeds, apart from having many vitamins and minerals, gives 975 mg of calcium and 17.7 gms of protein versus Milk which gives 120 mg of Calcium and 3.2 grams of protein per 100 grams. Sesame is also very useful in pacifying Vata ( the Air and Ether Element ). Vata imbalance leads to frazzled nerves,dryness in the skin and body , some kinds of constipation, anxiety, arthritis and many chronic disease.
